We have had some huge changes in our nation over the past few years. In 2020, many churches stopped meeting. Some continued, following guidelines. But now we are about three years later—and I heard recently that some churches in our nation have never even reopened.
It has been said that half the churches we had in 2020 are no longer operating. And of those who still are open, many consist of about 100 people. Unfortunately, several pastors have quit the ministry over the past three years. And many folks have just stopped attending church. Why the decline? I think there could be several reasons for folks not attending church. 1. Some think church is irrelevant. It isn't meeting the needs of people. 2. Some people are disillusioned. They want to meet God in their church, but this isn't happening. So they leave. 3. Some don't find their "tribe", that is, folks that they connect with. 4. Some can't find a church where their children want to attend; where they grow and are nurtured. 5. Some think church is boring—same old, same old. 6. Some are offended by a church leader or church attendee, so they stop going. 7. They would rather watch their favorite church service online. Now I would like to talk about why we should consider attending church. First, we are not meant to be alone. We can't live our Christian faith alone. We are meant to have fellowship with the body of Christ. So what about finding a local church? Is it necessary? I am going to share my beliefs on this. 1. Maybe you haven't prayed and asked the Lord for the right fellowship. I had a dream a few years back. The Lord was telling me in a dream to leave my church! I was surprised. I asked my pastor to pray. Then later on God gave me another dream and I saw the face of another pastor. I again inquired of the Lord, and had others praying with me. The end result is that I did change churches. I left with my pastors blessing, since he saw that God was speaking to me. Now I have been going to this new church for about four years, and it is a grand fit! I love my church. If you haven't found the one you feel good in, you should pray and ask the Lord where you belong. There is a right place for everyone. 2. Having a pastor is a very good thing. Pastors care for the sheep. If you are not in a church, what will you do when you have a need for a marriage ceremony, or a funeral (God forbid)? Where will you go? This happened to someone about eight years ago. We needed to have a funeral but the person didn't have a church. So they came to my former church for the service. A pastor has watch over your soul. Without a pastoral covering, who is watching over your soul? If you are a woman, you have the covering of your husband (if you are married) and also the covering of your pastor. This is very important. The pastor is not there to control you, but to be there for you. I am very grateful for our pastoral staff. 3. There are many websites where you can watch services. So many are terrific! However, nothing can replace you being in a church meeting. Yes, we watched church services when we couldn't meet. But then after, we met together. God has said to meet together. We are stronger together. When we worship together, we bring His presence. We are encouraged and strengthened. 4. Some want the new move of God, and they feel church is boring. That's where we need to trust God and pray! I'm sure we all want to see the power of God in our services. But it takes prayer and commitment. Staying away from church doesn't bring the power of God. But staying in a church and believing together for a move of God is powerful! 5. About offense—we can be offended every day in life, not just at church. We can be offended by our spouse, our children, the traffic, the society, and yes, by our pastor or church. But offense is a trap! It will keep us in bondage if we engage with it. We are called to a walk of love. We are called to forgive and let God deal with the offense. 6. It is important for children to go to a church that they enjoy. However, you as the parent need to be the head. Don't just go to a church for your children. You need to find a church where you can grow and serve, too. 7. I think the most important reason for being in a church (besides the fact that God commands it—He says to not forsake gathering together) is that we are in a time where soon there will be a great harvest of souls. Many people are going to be coming into the kingdom in this outpouring. Where will they go? Where will they be discipled? There will need to be more churches, because the churches we have now will not be able to contain all of the people that will be coming into the church! God needs the church! Bottom line: The enemy would love for the church doors to shut (again). He knows that there is a powerful move of God coming! And he doesn't want that to happen. So he tricks and deceives people. He wants them offended. He wants them to grumble and complain, and stop going to church. But in this move, God will need everyone. From the youngest to the oldest. So the enemy is not going to have his way; God is going to have HIS way. We WILL see a mighty outpouring of God's Spirit in our churches and in our nation. We have prayed for this and He will answer. Besides, the world is very dark right now, and we need to be the light! So many need to be rescued. And the church will be so relevant for this. We are here for such a time as this!

The best is yet to come! We do embrace 2022!
So you say, why should we be excited about 2022? Don’t you know 2021 was terrible? So many awful things happened in 2021. But I say welcome, 2022! We put our trust in God. And He has said many things about 2022. GOD ANOINTS PROPHETS TO SPEAK We have been blessed to have many true prophetic voices in our day. These prophets have been raised up for such a time as this. When we need to hear what God is saying, He raises up prophetic voices. Why? Because when there is darkness, God wants to bring light. When things look gloomy, He wants to share His perspective. His perspective is always going to be different from the world because He can see the end from the beginning. Amos 3:7 Indeed, the Sovereign LORD never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. Have you noticed that many times what the Lord says through His prophets doesn’t look anything like what is going on? What comes to mind is the valley of dry bones. Ezekiel 37:4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! The Lord gave instruction for the prophet to “speak and prophesy” to those dry bones. Why? So they would come back to life! Of course, we see that all throughout the Bible. He speaks a thing, and then it happens. Eventually. He is the God who, as it says in Romans, calls things into existence. Romans 4:17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. So the prophets have been speaking many things concerning 2022. God also says that He watches over His words to perform them. Jeremiah 1:12 Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” WATCH THE WORDS OF THE PROPHETS COME TO PASS IN 2022: So, let’s review some of those things the prophets have prophesied for 2022. I just picked out a few words that I kept hearing over and over last year by various prophets. 1. Instead of a luke-warm church, in 2022 the church will rise up and be relevant again. A great awakening will begin in the early part of 2022. This should be exciting for us! We want to see a great revival come to the church! 2. We will witness the power of God to heal the sick. Like one prophet has said, these are “glory days, and not gloomy days”. We will see the answers to many prayers of healing and deliverance. 3. The prodigals are coming home! This should be great news to all our ears. Families are about to be restored! Prodigals will see again, and they will follow the destiny that God has for their lives. 4. There will be a great harvest of souls, beginning in 2022. Yes, many who have been in darkness “will see a great light”. Even those we never thought would see and be changed will be converted. Matthew 4:16 “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Isaiah 9:2 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined. The power of God will open their eyes. Acts 26:18 'to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’ Many of our family members, friends and neighbors will come to Jesus! We have been praying for them for years and now our prayers are about to be answered! 5. In this harvest, we will all have a part. It will be “all hands on deck”! We will be the ones doing the works of Jesus. We will fulfill John 14:12. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father". Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.” 6. Even young children and youth will be involved in this great harvest of souls. God is about to visit the schools and college campuses! 7. There will be a transfer of wealth. Much wealth will come into the church, for this is necessary to preach the gospel. Many inventions and creative ideas will come to the church through dreams and visions. 8. Heaven will invade earth. Haven’t we been praying the Lord’s prayer for years now? “On earth as it is in heaven”. We have been praying for heaven to invade earth, and that is just what’s about to happen! 9. There will be restoration. Things stolen will be returned; there will be a great restoring of all that has been taken from us. Acts 3:21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. So, we know God will perform His words that He has spoken. He has said it and we believe it! So, buckle up, put on your seat belt, we are going on a ride we’ve never been on before! Are you ready? The Christmas story parallels what is going on now on the earth in many ways. We are preparing for a mighty move of God on earth. The birth of Jesus changed everything. So let's look at the ways it parallels our time:
1. Many people/characters were involved in this story—from the youngest to the oldest. THEN: There were young people (Mary & Joseph), old people (Elizabeth, Zechariah) shepherds, even a host of angels and Wisemen (pagan kings who recognize the star). NOW: In this outpouring, it will be all hands on deck! From the youngest to the oldest, everyone will be involved. Of course, there will be lots of angels. (More on the kings and star later on). 2. THEN: There was darkness on the earth before the birth of Jesus. I think that time was about 400 years. NOW: This has been a very dark time in our history. We have never imagined the sin that is happening now. It is a very dark time. 3. THEN: Children were being killed then. Matthew 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. NOW: The enemy is still trying to stop the destinies of many unborn and young people. But in this coming outpouring, he will not succeed! 4. THEN: There were many, many prophecies about the birth of Jesus that was to come. NOW: And so there have been many prophecies about this coming outpouring. 5. THEN: The star shone; it was so bright that everyone saw it. That star drew people to Jesus! NOW: And we are the light of the world—and the light in us will draw many unbelievers to Jesus! Isaiah 60:1-2. Even kings came from afar—I believe we will see that happening again—(pagan) people in leadership coming to Jesus. 6. THEN: The promise was the birth of a child, Jesus. NOW: And today we have been "pregnant" with a coming birth too— we (the body of Christ) have been in travail with a baby— a great awakening! We have been crying out for an awakening for many years. And soon the birth of this baby is coming! 7. THEN: There was a prominent theme at the time of Jesus's birth: the promise of a Savior. He was going to be the savior of all mankind. That promise came to pass, and Jesus was born. NOW: We also have been given many promises—promises for relationships to be restored, for healing in our bodies, for prodigals to come home, etc. And in this awakening, we will see those promises come to pass! 8. THEN: Christmas time is a time of "peace on earth, goodwill to men". The angel proclaimed peace on earth in that day. NOW: In this day, although there is chaos and turmoil going on on the earth, those in the kingdom are experiencing PEACE. We have peace in our hearts. We walk in that peace. We carry it to our friends and neighbors. We are peacemakers. And I believe we will draw many to the Lord through that peace. We are not shaken by what the enemy brings— we remain in God's peace. In this season we are reminded of all of the amazing things that happened at the time of the birth of Jesus. It was a glorious time! And many believe (myself included) that we are getting ready for a great outpouring of God's Spirit on earth. It is going to be amazing. May we make ourselves ready for what is to come. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed and Prosperous 2022! I BELIVE IT WILL BE JUST AS IT WAS TOLD ME ACTS 27:25
CAN IT GET ANY WORSE? I woke up with this thought the other day; "Lord, can it get any worse?" The answer to this question, I believe, is yes, and it might get worse before it gets better. Why? Because there is a principle in life: it is that people don't usually take action until they are actually forced to. We see the butterfly in a transition; it takes their personal force to make the transformation. We can look at Science—it takes a catalyst to make a change. When threatened with a serious illness, folks are ready to change their lifestyle or diet. Many examples could be cited. When our very freedoms are being threatened, we take action. And we are seeing this, of course. Many folks are waking up to the reality that something must be done, because the enemy is trying his best to bring our nation down, and to ultimately remove all of our freedoms: the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to bear arms, freedom to gather, etc. But unfortunately, many people are still sleeping or just not taking any kind of action. When this whole thing started last year, many of us got excited. You see, many have been praying for a great awakening in our nation for many years. Many have seen the condition of the church and have been praying for a breakthrough! So last year, many saw that a ‘catalyst’ came to wake up the Laodicean church. Do you remember the National Day of Prayer last year? Do you remember the Return? And the many other gatherings of the church?? This was the response to the catalyst. It was a great start! The church began to rise up. We saw the face of the church in America online and in person! It was amazing!! We saw that we are actually a mighty army all over our nation! WHERE ARE WE TODAY? Is the great awakening here? Well, no, not quite yet. We are still ‘in the birth canal’. We are like a woman in labor, and we are in the transition stage. That stage is so painful! And it is so urgent. The closer we are to the birth, the more intense the pain becomes. There is no turning back at that point! You have no choice—you have to stay focused and wait for the time to push! If you have had a baby, you know the intense pain. The transition phase is the most painful but the most important. At that point, you have no other choice but to stay in the game! (You can't 'check out' or give the assignment to someone else! You have to move forward in your destiny.) And you can’t start pushing until the right time, right? I remember the doctor saying ‘Don’t push yet! It’s not time!” That is where we are now, still in the birth canal; we want to push! But it isn’t time yet. But after the birth, you forget the travail. When you see the new birth, the new baby, you are so happy! Let me assure you, the baby IS coming…. Another analogy is at the Red Sea. We are crossing over the Red Sea and trusting that everyone will get across before the water comes over Pharaoh and his army. Many prophetic words have come forth about this picture. Another picture is the one about Lazarus coming back to life; it is about death first and then resurrection after. I love the recent vision that Veronika West had, about a tree stump. The tree stump represents a tree that has been cut down—a nation and leader that were cut down. But what we don’t see is the root system below the stump! That root system is still there, and the tree is being restored, even though we can’t see it in the natural. You see, the tree had to be cut first. Everything of the old had to be removed before the new could come. But then the branches started to regrow, and soon the tree became even bigger and better than before. THIS IS WHERE WE ARE, AND WHY IT IS TAKING SO LONG. The old ‘republican and democrat’ system has to be uprooted and pulled down. The prophets are doing exactly what God told Jeremiah to do, they are declaring what is going to happen and speaking it out loud and clear: Jeremiah 1:10 “See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.” The old must be removed before the new can come. Evil must be removed. Then the new growth can come. ENDURE HARDSHIP AS A SOLDIER What is happening to us, as believers? Well, like I mentioned above, we are dying. We as a nation, are dying to the old and getting ready for the new. We, too, are dying to our self, and sowing to the spirit. We are stepping up in our prayer and declarations, and most of all, our authority! We are becoming like Christ! Wow. We are being tested in every way! As believers in this process, we are exercising our faith and patience. No one is immune. We are all being challenged; in fact, this evil agenda is worldwide. Some, of course, are luke-warm, complacent or have their head in the sand. Others are on the sidelines ‘waiting till it all unfolds’. But many are being strengthened and alert! HOW THEN SHOULD WE LIVE? So, this is the best question at this juncture. What is our role? What can we do? Well, we are in a spiritual war. And usually in war time, it’s ‘all hands on deck’! So, there is something for ALL of us to do. Everyone is needed! It’s time to get off the sidelines and find our place. I will end with some suggestions: 1. DO NOT JUMP SHIP! This is not a time to stop your fellowship with the Lord and with the body of Christ. Stay connected! Get in a church, prayer group, small group, etc. We need each other. It’s no time to be a lone ranger; there is too much at stake. When you are isolated, you become a prime target for the enemy. And his goal is to take you out. 2. STAY IN FAITH! KEEP YOUR FAITH ENGAGED! KEEP YOUR ARMOR ON— DON’T DROP YOUR SHIELD OF FAITH! Take time to read Bible stories where God wins! (There are plenty of them!) Or listen to preaching, or testimonies. I like to listen to the prophets, since they show us what is happening in the spirit realm and what is coming. Try not to watch the doom and gloom stuff; it will short circuit your faith. 3. FIND YOUR MOST EFFECTIVE PLACE OF SERVICE. What mountain are you called to? Should you be running for office? I heard that there are a thousand openings across the nation in school boards, city council, judges, senate and house—local and state. Are you qualified? Why not run for office? Are you a prayer warrior? Then keep praying! You know the mountains—whatever one you are called to, step out in that mountain and let your light shine. 4. HOLD THE LINE! DO NOT QUIT!! Watching the Olympics always shows us a real-life example of people who seriously do not give up. They put their bodies through rigorous training, and even end up with sprains, breaks and bruises. But the ones who make it never give up. I think it is very fitting that the Olympic games are taking place now, as a prophetic picture of what we should be doing: 'keep fit, stay in the game and win'. . The truth is that they had a goal before them, to win. Theirs was a personal goal, but we have an even greater goal. Ours is for freedom for our children and grandchildren. Ours is to plunder hell and populate heaven! We are ALL in this battle for the life of our nation and for the lives of our descendants. We are reminded of the words of Winston Churchill: “Never, never, never, never, never surrender”. This should be our mantra: “We will never comply. We will never surrender. We will never give in to the enemy’s plans. We cannot be defeated (with God on our side) and we will not quit! God will do exactly what He has said, and we believe it. We believe the prophets and it will be just as God has spoken through the Word and prophets of God!! America is being resurrected. Justice is coming! Exposure (of evil) is coming! America will not fall into the hands of the devil but she will be rescued by the hands of our living God! And we WILL see the great awakening come and the huge harvest of souls in America! We will find our place on the wall, with our work piece in one hand and our sword in the other. And as the pressing continues, we will STAND and not quit, for we were brought here for such a time as this, in Jesus’s name, Amen”. Acts 27:25 Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me. RIGHTEOUSNESS VS WICKEDNESS; GOOD VS EVIL
Have we ever seen such a contract of good and evil before in our lifetime? So many crazy things are happening. Interesting, if you switch one letter in these two words, look what happens: Good= God, Evil= Devil. We can hardly believe the insanity we are seeing and hearing across our nation. It is becoming so clear who is for righteousness and who is for wickedness. Who in their right mind, would defund the very ones who protect them? We are witnessing a godless generation. What we are experiencing is truly a picture of the wicked and evil men and women’s hearts being revealed. It reminds me of the parable of the wheat and the tares: Matthew 13:24-30 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ” We can see the wheat and the tares; hearts are being revealed! In fact, it is a contract between righteousness and wickedness. The godless have no check on what they do; they are without God. Without Christ means a people without God. We used to live like that and Paul reminds us: Ephesians 2:12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. We are used to reading scriptures about the wicked; we have read them many times over the years. But now they have taken on a new meaning. We now can see what wickedness looks like; we are now seeing how the godless act. Murder, stealing, lying, looting, sexual perversion, idolatry, yelling obscenities, etc. We have come to a place where we are literally seeing and experiencing wickedness. It’s almost like Pandora’s box is opened up; the hordes (demons) from hell have been released. THE RIGHTEOUS VS THE WICKED: Take a look with me at what God has to say concerning the righteous and the wicked: Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Psalm 32:10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him. Psalm 34:21 Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. Psalm 37:7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Psalm 37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. Psalm 37:28 For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 37:40 And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him. Psalm 64:2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the rebellion of the workers of iniquity. Psalm 71:4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. Psalm 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 91:8 Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Psalm 91:10 You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. Psalm 141:9 Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity. WHAT THEY SOW THEY WILL REAP: I believe that the evildoers, the wicked who are perpetrating evil will reap what they are sowing. We have several examples of this in scripture. Look at the fate of the wicked; it is not good. Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Psalm 37:1 Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Psalm 37:20 But the wicked shall perish; and the enemies of the Lord, like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away. Psalm 37:34 Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. Psalm 37:38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 101:8 Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord. Psalm 145:20 The Lord preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. Psalm 104:35 May sinners be consumed from the earth, and the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord! Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Psalm 68:2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. WICKEDNESS COMES BACK ON THEM: The Scriptures also paint a picture of the destruction of the evil ones coming back on them. Esther 7:9-10 Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king, “Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said, “Hang him on it!” 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath subsided. Psalm 1:6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 5:6 You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. Psalm 7:14-16 Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. 15 He made a pit and dug it out, And has fallen into the ditch which he made. 16 His trouble shall return upon his own head, And his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown. Psalm 9:15 The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught. Psalm 10:2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. Psalm 27:2 When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Psalm 28:4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; give them according to the work of their hands; render to them what they deserve. Psalm 94:23 He has brought on them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; The Lord our God shall cut them off. Psalm 109:17 As he loved cursing, so let it come to him; as he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him. Psalm 141:10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape safely. "Lord, we pray for the wicked folks in our land. May they repent of their sin! But Lord if they do not repent, please remove them from our government. May we have godly men and women in our government!" Last year around October, I was waiting on the Lord. In the stillness I heard, “There is a storm coming”. At that time I did not hear what the storm would be, but I knew that we would be OK. I felt like it would be a mild storm. The Lord never gave me any more information on it, but I knew to pray about it. Of course, now I know what the storm was about—a plague, or pandemic; the corona virus.
A few days ago when I was waiting on the Lord, I heard again, “There is another storm coming”. But, this time I knew in my heart that it would be a bigger storm. I am not a doomsday thinker. I do not believe this is the time of the “last days”. In fact, the Lord told me “this is not the end, but this is the beginning”. (More on that later). What will be the next storm? Will it be a terrorist attack? Will it be weather related—a tornado, hurricane, earthquake? Civil riots? Invasion from abroad? I do not know. It could be a combination of things. But there is still a shaking going on. This shaking is to shake evil out of the church and the world. WHY REVIVAL/AWAKENING TARRIES When this pandemic began, we (intercessors) thought this would bring a wave of repentance to our nation. Do you see a nation wide repentance movement going on? Yes, we see the remnant praying. But nation wide? No, not really. We have prayed this passage: “If my people who are called by My name would humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways”.. Where is the repentance? Where are people crying out in humility? Folks, this has not happened —yet. And until it does happen, we will not see revival. We will see revival when we, like the Italians and Brazilians we saw on Facebook, we are on our knees crying out to God in humility and repentance. What will cause this to happen? I believe that this will happen when “another storm comes”. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE HEARTS OF MEN AND WOMEN Whenever there is evil in the hearts of men, God is not pleased. Recently we have seen how this evil has escalated in our nation. I believe that just as in the days of Noah, God has a way of dealing with wicked hearts. In the coming storm, wicked hearts will be judged. By that I mean they will be given a chance to repent. (God always gives man a chance to repent). But He will not allow the sin to continue. He is not pleased. So he will bring judgment. Judgment can come in many ways. As one prophet said recently, “Nature will prophesy”. God can bring literal storms, like an earthquake, or hurricane or tornado. Many have spoken of a shaking. To me, that sounds a lot like an earthquake. It could be in the form of a terrorist attack, or a literal storm, or even another wave of the pandemic. There could be a food shortage as the result of another storm. I do not know what kind of storm it is going to be. But I personally believe that God has heard the prayers of the righteous to "drain the swamp" or rid us from the evil in our nation. And He has ways of answering these prayers. AN AWAKENING—WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE? I believe it will be like this—the worst of times if you are against God and His ways, but the best of times if you love God and His ways. I believe that only through this storm will we see TRUE revival of the hearts of men and woman. But, it will be the beginning of a new season—a season of reaping the great harvest. Yes, I believe the prophets didn’t miss that part. The revival will come. But, the storm must come first. Without the next storm, there will be no changing of hearts— there will be no revival. You can remember what it was like when you first came to the Lord, right? There was a personal shaking in your life. No shaking=no changing. PROTECTION FOR THE RIGHTEOUS I do believe that we will be protected during this next storm. God made an ark for Noah, and our ark is clear: Psalm 91. God is our ark. He is an ever present help in time of trouble. But our hearts must be for Him and not against Him. We must be those “who are on the Lord’s side”. WHAT SHOULD BE OUR RESPONSE? Since the Lord told me about the next coming storm, I know He wants us to be prepared. So, there are a few ways to prepare. 1. Be sure you are in the secret place of the most high.. spending time in His presence, listening for His personal instruction to you. Get closer…and closer to Him. PRAY. First, pray that no wickedness is in your heart. Judgment begins in the house of the Lord. Pray for pastors who love what God hates—those who endorse homosexual marriage. Pray for those who are still killing babies—we know God hates that. Pray for those who are being judged— that they will repent. Tracey Cook said that there will be those leaders both in the church and world who will die in this time—because they have not judged themselves. I believe God is judging the hearts of wicked men and women. He will remove those who continue to do evil. He can do this; He has done it before. 2. Prepare in the natural. Do you have food in storage? Get some. It could be for a few weeks or a few months—I don’t know. But it would be wise to have extra food and supplies on hand. So, we know what is coming, so let us take our place in prayer, and let us prepare for what is to come. And let us be ready to reap a huge harvest of souls. I am getting dressed for this and getting ready—how about you? Any time we hear from God, it is so valuable. I think our dreams are more powerful than we have ever realized. They are of great value, for they are one of God’s ways of speaking to us.
How are they valuable? In our dreams, we often receive strategies. We receive a heads-up from God concerning a situation. It might be a situation where the enemy is involved. God is all knowing but the enemy is not. So we have a great advantage over the enemy—specifically, our God is able to show us things ahead of time in our dreams, so that those things can change. We change the outcome through prayer. This is calling ‘flipping’ a dream. There are many kinds of dreams. God reveals strategies to war against the enemy in our dreams by giving us spiritual warfare dreams. There are cleansing dreams, calling dreams, healing dreams, soulish dreams; the list is long. The ones we should value and pay close attention to in our personal lives are what I call self-condition, correction or warning dreams. These dreams reveal our spiritual condition; the condition of our heart, and show us where a change is needed. They are so valuable because they reveal our blind spots; the things we don’t want to know about ourselves. Job 33:14-18 For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it.15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, 16 then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. 17 In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man,18 He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. I love the Message translation: God always answers, one way or another, even when people don’t recognize his presence.15-18 “In a dream, for instance, a vision at night, when men and women are deep in sleep fast asleep in their beds—God opens their ears and impresses them with warnings to turn them back from something bad they’re planning, from some reckless choice, and keep them from an early grave, from the river of no return. In the night while we are sleeping God shows us true pictures of what is happening in our lives and in our hearts. He shows us how to keep us from making wrong choices, He reveals pride in our hearts, and He keeps us from death! That’s valuable, right? It’s like having a close friend, who gives you hidden secrets. We can’t argue with God when we are sleeping, so it is a good opportunity for Him to show us what we might not want to see. When we wake up, if we value His words, we will repent. We will seek Him for His Help. What are some things He can show us about ourselves? So glad you asked! He wants to show us hidden things in our hearts that might be blocking us from being fruitful, or from hearing Him. Some of these things could be pride, selfishness, rebellion, jealousy, rejection, unforgiveness, deception, etc. These dreams cause us to come closer to the Lord. They invite us to engage in intimacy with God. They can bring the fear of God in some cases. They also cause us to repent. They are there to aid us. They should be something we value and cherish. It’s like having our own personal life coach. The Holy Spirit does four things in the life of the believer, according to John 14 and John 16. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 16;13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He teaches us, leads or guides us, reveals things He already told us and shows us things to come. This is so wonderful; it covers the past, present and future. Didn’t Jesus say that He is always with us? He is with us on a daily basis through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. But it doesn’t stop when we go to sleep! We have access to His help 24/7! A good example of this from Scripture is the dream interpreted by Daniel of King Nebuchadnezzar. This dream is found in Daniel 4:9-16. I highlighted a few verses in bold. “Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.10 “These were the visions of my head while on my bed: I was looking, and behold, A tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great.11 The tree grew and became strong; its height reached to the heavens, and it could be seen to the ends of all the earth. 12 Its leaves were lovely, its fruit abundant, and in it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it,the birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, and all flesh was fed from it. 13 “I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven. 14 He cried aloud and said thus: ‘Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, Strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, and the birds from its branches. 15 Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field. Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let him graze with the beasts on the grass of the earth. 16 Let his heart be changed from that of a man, let him be given the heart of a beast, and let seven times pass over him. Basically, the dream is about the King; it is exposing the sin of pride. The King had a huge empire, which was represented by a huge tree. But he did not help the poor, nor did he try to acknowledge the Lord God; he did not acknowledge that God was his source. In the dream, he is even warned of the consequence of his sin—that he would be chopped down, and his kingdom would be taken away. And that he would be changed into a beast for seven years— until he comes to know: Daniel 4:25 “that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.” God gave him this dream to expose the pride in his life. Daniel even exhorts the king to repent: 27 “O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity.” One year after the dream the King said: 30 “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?” Whoa, Bessy! It looks like he didn’t repent for his pride—yet. Sometimes people can be stubborn! They can’t seem to soften their heart. It would take a bit more for the king to see the folly of his ways. Read on: 31 While the word was still in the king’s mouth, a voice fell from heaven: “King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you! 32 And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen; and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.” 33 That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws. Did you see what happened? This is no science fiction story! Because the king did not repent, he was transformed into some kind of animal for seven years! I can imagine that during that time he probably thought about the folly of his ways. But never fear, this story has a good ending. 34 And at the end of the [k]time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: The King came back to his senses. He also had a change of heart: 37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down. Notice the last words: . And those who walk in pride He is able to put down. Wow. He humbled himself; he repented of his ways. He learned that "the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He choses". He has "been there, done that and got the T-shirt"! What if the King had not been warned in a dream? What if Daniel hadn’t been there, to interpret the dream and to encourage the King? Because of the dream, the King did repent of his sin of pride. And his kingdom was restored. And he learned the fear of the Lord; he learned not to mess with the God of the universe! Of course, we are not in a position of being a King. However, the Lord is able to show us our sin of pride in a dream. Hopefully, we won’t wait a year to change our ways. Hopefully, we will be quick to repent. And hopefully, we won’t have to be changed into an animal for seven years! We can see how valuable that dream was to King Nebchadnezzar; he was shown his sin of pride and he repented for it. But, we are so blessed in that we already know the Lord. We have that 24/7 relationship with Him. So now, when He gives us a dream, it is so wonderful, because we can just repent and move on. We would certainly want the Lord to show us ahead of time—just between Him and us—so that we don’t have to have our sin exposed, like the King did. That is only one example of many where God invades our sleep to show us what is really in us. I for one have experienced this and I am sure you have, too. I welcome those dreams. Indeed, they are so very valuable. Showing us our blind spots. Very kind of you, Lord, to put us in a sleep mode to show us the things we probably would deny if we were awake! But as we know, we can’t argue with God in our sleep! So, let’s pray: “God, I give you permission to reveal to me the things I can’t see that are hidden in my heart. Thank you for giving me dreams that reveal my blind spots. I value them and I value you in my life. In Jesus Name, Amen”. Sweet dreams! I found this article concerning Donald Trump’s connection to the Hebrides Revival- and I am copying it for you to read. The author is TC Kim. This article was originally written in September 2017. (Hebrides islands are by Scotland)
In the late 1940’s a small cottage In Scotland on the Island of Lewis by in the village of Barvas lived two elderly women, Peggy and Christine Smith. They were eighty-four and eighty-two years old. Peggy was blind and her sister almost bent double with arthritis. Unable to attend public worship, their humble cottage became a sanctuary where they met with God. To them came the promise: “I will pour water upon him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground,” they pleaded this day and night in prayer. One night Peggy had a revelation, revival was coming and the church of her fathers would be crowded again with young people! She sent for the minister, the Rev. James Murray MacKay, and told him what God had shown her, asking him to call his elders and deacons together for special times of waiting upon God. In the same district a group of men praying in a barn experienced a foretaste of coming blessing. One night as they waited upon God a young deacon rose and read part of the twenty-fourth Psalm: “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord.” Turning to the others he said: “Brethren, it seems to me just so much humbug to be waiting and praying as we are, if we ourselves are not rightly related to God.” Then lifting his hands toward heaven he cried: “Oh God, are my hands clean? Is my heart pure?” He got no further, but fell prostrate to the floor. An awareness of God filled the barn and a stream of supernatural power was let lose in their lives. They had moved into a new sphere of God realization, believing implicitly in the promise of revival. Among those converted the following night was a fifteen-year-old boy who became an outstanding helper in the revival. This lad became a “frontline” prayer-warrior. The preacher, Duncan Campbell, called at his home one day and found him on his knees in the barn with the Bible open before him. When interrupted he quietly said: “Excuse me a little, Mr. Campbell, I’m having an audience with the King.” Some of the most vivid outpourings of the Spirit during the revival came when he was asked to pray. In the police station in Barvas he stood up one night, simply clasped his hands together, and uttered one word – “Father.” Everyone was melted to tears as the Presence of God invaded the house. In Callenish, he prayed until the power of God laid hold on those who were dead in sins transforming them into living stones in the Church of Jesus Christ. But the most outstanding example of God’s anointing upon him was in Bernera, a small island off the coast of Lewis. Duncan was assisting at a Communion service; the atmosphere was heavy and preaching difficult, so he sent to Barvas for some of the men to come and assist in prayer. They prayed, but the spiritual bondage persisted, so much so that half way through his address Duncan stopped preaching. Just then he noticed this boy, visibly moved, under deep burden for souls. He thought: “That boy is in touch with God and living nearer to the Savior than I am.” So leaning over the pulpit he said: “Donald, will you lead us in prayer?” The lad rose to his feet and in his prayer made reference to the fourth chapter of Revelation, which he had been reading that morning: “Oh God, I seem to be gazing through the open door. I see the Lamb in the midst of the Throne, with the keys of death and of hell at His girdle.” He began to sob; then lifting his eyes toward heaven, cried: “O God, there is power there, let it loose!” With the force of a hurricane the Spirit of God swept into the building and the floodgates of heaven opened. The church resembled a battlefield. On one side many were prostrated over the seats weeping and sighing; on the other side some were affected by throwing their arms in the air in a rigid posture. God had come! Between 1949 and 1952 a wide spread revival swept through these islands in answer to the prayers of God’s people. This revival became knows as the Hebrides Revival. Mary Anne Smith MacLeod , niece of the two intercessors of the Hebrides Revival, cousin of Donald Smith the 15 year old converted at the revival emigrated from the Hebridean Island of Lewis, off the west coast of Scotland, from where she emigrated to America and met a gentleman named Frederick Trump. Mary Anne Smith MacLeod is reported to have met Frederick Trump at a dance where they fell in love. They married in January 1936, the wedding reception for the 25 guests being held at the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan. On April 5, 1937, she gave birth to their first child Mary Anne Trump Barry, a United States Federal Judge, followed by Fredrick Jr. (1938–1981), Elizabeth (1942), Donald Trump 45th President of the United States (1946), and Robert (1948). Coincidence or Holy Ghost? God used two elderly sisters who desperately wanted to see God move in their church in a small fishing village on Lewis Island. Not only did the revival reach their Island in Scotland but the Hebrides Revival became known around the world. Little did they know that their nephew would one day become the President of the United States of America and bring change and a move of God to the Nations. It is time to rise up and intercede for our President and for our Nation. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. God has appointed Donald Trump for such a time as this. It is time to rise up and unite and do mighty exploits for the Kingdom of God ! https://www.theguardian.com/uk/gallery/2008/jun/09/scotland.donaldtrump https://www.theguardian.com/uk/gallery/2008/jun/09/scotland.donaldtrump Mary Anne MacLeod Trump – Wikipedia Mary Anne Trump (Scottish Gaelic: Màiri Anna; May 10, 1912 – August 7, 2000) was the Scottish-born American mother of the U.S. President Donald Trump. enwikipedia.org Have you gone through any trials in your life? If we have lived for very long, yes of course we have. Some have had trials in relationships, with marriages and children, some in their health, some in their finances, etc. Right now, the whole world is in a huge trial. No one is immune—from the richest to the poorest—we are all being affected by this pandemic. It is a great test of faith for us. But, how should we, as believers in Jesus, respond to this hardship?
James speaks about what our posture should be when facing various tests and trials: James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. ... Why should we count it all joy? That seems hard, right? We count it all joy because it produces patience in us; it shows how much you trust God. If you never get to use your faith, how will you know its strength? I love what it says in the Passion translation; when your faith is tested, it stirs up power in you to endure: James 1:2-4 My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! 3 For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up power within you to endure all things. 4 And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. He goes on to say in the Passion translation: James 1:12 If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God! So if we stay strong during these tests, we receive the blessings of God, and the joy of God. You could compare it to using your muscles. When you use them, you become stronger. If you don’t build up your muscles, then you won’t have strength when you need to use them. It’s the same with our faith. It only grows when we use it. And, the tests and trials in life are there to help grow us in our faith. If we never have any tests, then we remain stagnant in our faith—it doesn’t grow. So the tests are actually producing something in our lives. I remember watching a movies years ago—the young man was in training, and the older, experienced man was his teacher. He told the young man: “Everything is a test”. We can say the same thing; everything is a test in our lives. What is being tested? Our faith! We see in the Bible that many were tested in their faith. Here are some examples of the testing of faith; let’s see what their report card looks like, if they passed the test or not. 1. Abraham was tested in his faith, but he passed the test: Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Report: 10/10 Abraham passed the test. 2. In Moses’s time, the people were being tested: Exodus 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not. Again: Exodus 20:20 And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” Deuteronomy 8:2 And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. (whether they would believe God) Deuteronomy 13:3 ..for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Report. Moses and Joshua passed the test, but the Israelites did not, generally speaking. 0/10. 3. Job was being tested: Job 23:10 But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. Report: Job passed the test. Eventually. 4. What is said about Joseph, as he was tested: Psalm 105:19 Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him. Report: Joseph passed the test. 10/10 5. We are being tested; God tests the sons of men: Psalm 11:4 The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. Psalm 11:5 The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates. Psalm 17:3 You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Proverbs 17:3 The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests the hearts. Isaiah 48:10 Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. So you can see how are you doing in this test. We haven’t had to offer up our only son, like Abraham, and we haven’t been put in prison like Joseph. But our faith is being tested during this virus outbreak. How are you doing? What is your report card? I’m sure many of us are in peace, praying and believing God. But if that isn’t you, I want to give you some words of hope, and what you can do during this time. 1. First, this too shall pass. This won’t last forever- there will be an end. Probably soon, since we are in Passover, and it is backing down now. Things will come back to ‘normal’, although it might be a "different time". 2. It would be a great time to spend more time with the Lord, building your faith. Read the Bible and see how others went through storms. This will build your faith! Let Him speak a scripture to you that you can stand on. Spend time than in His presence, just waiting on Him, letting Him speak to you. 3. Be a doer of the Word; that is, speak forth your faith. Declare and decree the promises of God over you and your family. Speak bold words of faith! 4. Pray! Pray for healing—pray for salvation for your family and friends. 5. Ask the Lord what you can be doing to help strengthen others during this time; through acts of service, or prayer, or giving, etc. And, count it all joy.... knowing that your faith (and the faith of the body of Christ in general) is being tested, but we are growing through this..... it will make us all stronger on the other side of this. As a people of sight, we can sometimes look around and see clues of what God is saying in the words and pictures (especially pictures in nature) that we see and hear, right? So I wanted to share what I can see God speaking through this situation of a global pause, or global reset.
1. OK, so I was thinking about the Tabernacle, in particular, the laver. Before they could go to the holy place, they had to wash their hands and feet, right? They couldn’t advance beyond that place with dirty hands. The whole point is to advance to the holiest place, right? So it made me think of something we are hearing a lot lately. What is it we have been hearing for quite a while now, on TV, etc? “WASH YOUR HANDS!" Hmm, do you think this might be a message for the world from the Lord? Then I looked at several scriptures on that; here are a few: Psalm 24:3-4 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. Psalm 18:20 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. Psalm 73:13 Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence. James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Exodus 30:21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, lest they die. And it shall be a statute forever to them—to him and his descendants throughout their generations. The washing of our hands produces purity and innocence. It symbolically represents cleansing the heart and renewal. We all want revival, we want to see increase, but could the Lord be telling us that we need to wash our hands first? Anyway, what I see is that washing our hands means getting rid of the junk, the debris from the world, cleansing our lives, repenting for sin, etc. This is what comes before revival- repentance! Then we can advance. 2. I was also reminded of the recent snow we had here in Oklahoma; do you remember? I love these scriptures: Psalm 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. The snow seemed to come and then it left quickly. There was enough snow to make a snowman even! I don’t remember any snow like that in recent years, do you? Some has fallen in the past but not enough to make a snowman. Snow typically represents cleansing, cleanliness, purity and Innocence. A snowman represents a righteous man; a pure heart. Folks made snowmen on that day. But it melted the next day! For me, it was a message; a prophetic picture, if you will. They were showing us what is coming, how this is what God is looking for, a righteous body of Christ; for us to be cleansed so we will be made into those righteous ones, whiter than snow. Of course, we are already made righteous, by the blood of Jesus. But, like when Jesus washed Peter’s feet- we still need to wash our hands. We are still in this world, so we need to repent- to change our thoughts, change our wrong motives or habits, etc. 3. Rain. We are all familiar with these scriptures: Psalm 72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, like showers that water the earth. Hosea 6:3 Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth. Have you noticed that there has been a lot of rain lately, especially here in Oklahoma? Like record breaking amounts? The weatherman keeps reminding us of the rain; he is saying,"rain rain go away! We don't need anymore rain"! But, the rain keeps coming... Then, I was reminded of the floods last year in Oklahoma-wow. Rain is another symbol of cleansing. Of course, rain is symbolic of the outpouring of God’s Spirit. In the last rain we had, we even saw a rainbow! I took a picture on Saturday; it was so pretty. The rainbow represents the promises of God! The rain we have been experiencing is a picture of the cleansing and pouring out of God’s Holy Spirit. And then after we will see the promises. The fact that it keeps repeating, (it keeps raining) well, I think there is a message there, right? It’s like God is saying, “I am cleansing the land, get ready, I’m pouring out my spirit on all flesh. Do you not see it? Do you not perceive it? And get ready, I will fulfill all those promises!” Wow, so God is telling us to wash our hands, repent, and He is saying He is bringing the snow and rain as a sign of what is coming. God is speaking! So then how do we respond? What can we be doing during this major reset in our lives? I think there are a few things that will help. We can use this time to advance ourselves spiritually. We can re-set our spiritual lives. 1. Seek the Lord. Pray. Spend some more time in the Word. It is always a good time to seek God, but how much more now in this crisis? Read and pray Psalm 91 over you. Soak in the Lord! I am reading Carol Arnott’s new book on soaking, and it is reminding me of the benefits of soaking; just taking that time to spend with the Lord. (She was also on Sid Roth too! She did such an amazing job!) 2. Take communion daily. Apply the blood over your household, church, state and nation. 3. It would be a great time to get out the promises that have been spoken over you, and rehearse what God has said. Declare and decree those promises! They are yet to come to pass! 4. Do what you can to improve your immune system, and overall health. Do a Daniel fast. Take Vitamin C, or other supplements. Get some fresh air. Many in my neighborhood are taking walks. Take a walk! Get some exercise. 5. Stay in peace, and give that away to others as much as possible. I think this is a time where there is a shaking especially in the world- so we should reach out to folks who don’t know the Lord! Their lives are being shaken so they can know Him. We can reach out to our neighbors, etc and for those who are working, they can reach out to their co-workers, etc. I believe it is a time for us to fall more in love with the Lord and to deepen our walk; then we will see the promises manifest. So yes, wash your hands, and ask God to prepare you for all of the amazing things yet to come! Concerning the coming harvest, here is a prophetic word given by the late Bob Jones:
“He said I am going to bring 1 billion youth to myself in one of the greatest awakenings of all time. I’m going to glorify Myself beyond anything that has ever happened that’s every been done in scripture. I am going to repeat it thousands and thousands of times. And I want you to go back and tell them this is what I am going to do in one great wave. So throughout the years I have stayed alive because I am going to see it. I was told I would see the first of it. I will see it. I was also told that I would see the glory. The glory is here to stay, it will never leave again. And that glory is a preparation for a harvest beyond imagination. One billion youth, over half the population of the world is under 18. One billion at once. I am not saying that will be all because there will be those that are already saved. One great harvest. One great increase of over a billion. I believe that it will probably begin around the year of 2020. I believe the first harvest are those that are being sown now by the remnant seed. Those who have been faithful to Christ and looked towards Him and still believed. There’s been a death take place in their life and an impartation of righteousness. Where they become like that seed that is planted on the other side of the cross. There are 2 sides of the cross. One is to die and the other side is the spirit of holiness to where we become like a seed and where we raise up we will become like that, a holy seed that will have resurrection power in it and be able to minister out of that to how many come to us. It will be a multiplication of the seed. So right now until the year 2012, see the first harvest. And it will be greater than anything you have ever seen. After that there will be a gathering in of the first harvest and it will be re-sown for a second harvest. And I believe the 2nd harvest will go between 2012 and 2020. And then it will be gathered into the granary and sowed for a 3rd harvest. And out of that 3rd harvest they will be a billion souls come to the Lord. Most of them will be young. But I believe now is not to the youth as much as to the over 50’s. The over 50’s must come in now to oversee it, protect it. Get behind it, never in front of it. Finance it, motivate it, direct it. I believe what He is speaking now to these mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers is to get a vision, that your life don't end at 50, it begins. And it goes on from now on. And so I believe what the Holy Spirit is waiting for now is for the older people, the Joshua’s to get into place. Joshua was not a youth, he was an old man when he crossed the Jordan. And the Joshua's as being called to stand up again and begin to lead again. Bring the fathers and the grandfathers back into the body of Christ so they can direct the youth. And the youth once you get behind it and point the direction, you wont need to get in front of it, they will take it. For youth are looking for something and they are searching everywhere. And they are the brightest of any generation that has ever been on the earth . They are those foreknown and predestinated. And when they find Christ they will find what they are looking for. And they will go out the whole world. They won't be afraid to go places or to those that are dangerous. But they will go everyplace because they have found Him. They have looked in drugs and immorality and all kinds of other spirituality things and they have not found any basis or truth in it. They are looking for the truth, they are looking for the true church. And we are getting ready to see the true church come and I believe it is going to be in the over 50’s first. That underneath it will be like leaders that prepare. But the youth are coming.” The world seems to be in an upheaval since the introduction of this annoying virus. It is all that the news is showing. Many are in fear and panic as they wonder what is going to happen to the virus, the economy, the stock market, etc. But for those of us who put our trust in the Lord, our admonition is to not be afraid. We remain strong and courageous as we pray and seek Him during this time of great shaking. I personally believe that the enemy is responsible for this virus, and he intended it for evil—to thwart the plans of God. However, I also believe that our God will overturn the enemies plans, and we will see a great victory. Reader, do not fear! This is not the end.
Many also are wondering, "Is this the time of the great tribulation?" "What is happening on the earth?" I want to share something that changed my perspective of the day we are living in. We are living in the time that is close to the return of the Lord. However, this day is not the end of time. Here is a 100 year prophecy by the late prophet Bob Jones. I believe that God is not in a hurry to build His church, like we are. Read this prophecy which was probably written in the 2000's; I am not sure when. BOB JONES: Years ago, The Lord gave me a 100-year prophecy.
So, during this 'pause', let us seek the Lord. He has a plan for each of us—there is something specific for each one of us to do. Let us find our assignment and continue building His Kingdom. And may we live each day in faith, and not in fear. There is still time, so make the most of the time you have! A while back, my husband and I were watching an old movie. It was called The Real Howard Spitz. It was about a washed out detective novelist looking for something else in life—who started writing children’s books. But he wasn’t sure of himself. There is a part in the movie where he hired someone to pretend to be him. He thought someone else could represent him better. But it didn’t work out well at all. In the end, he only succeeded by being himself.
I think this picture represents many in the body of Christ. We are called to be like Jesus, and do the things Jesus did. But in truth, we haven’t accepted our true identity. When we look around, if we are truthful we don’t see much of the demonstration of our faith. We sometimes look like the world; we live their lifestyle, we get stressed when they are stressed and we watch their entertainment. It’s sometimes hard to tell who the unbeliever is and who the believer is! WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR ARMOR? DID IT FALL OFF? I found these references concerning the armor we are to wear. There are three— the armor of light, the armor of righteousness and the whole armor of God. ROMANS 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. ROMANS 6:7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.. EPHESIANS 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. But what happened to our light? Is it dim? Fading or going out? And our righteousness? Did we have a memory lapse where we forgot who we were? And what about our armor? Where is it? Well, I think our armor fell off! We dropped our shield of faith, we lost our shoes and our belt is hanging on with a thread! Our helmet has a lot of holes in it, and our sword is rusting out from lack of use! Oh, and did I mention that our breastplate is falling off? Well, frankly, we are not dressed properly! To me the armor of God is like putting on Jesus. Paul describes this armor that we are to wear: Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD There are 6 things that we should be wearing as Christians. It is a covering from head to toe! 1. WAIST: The belt of truth. Truth holds everything together! His Word is truth. 2. COVER THE HEART: The breastplate of righteousness. We are the righteousness of God in Christ- it is who we are because of Jesus. He made us righteous. 3. FEET: Shoes fitted with peace. We wear gospel shoes—so we carry the peace of God with us, and share the gospel in our daily walk. 4. ARM: The shield of faith. It is to quench the darts of the enemy—when he wants to attack our heart. We cover our heart with our faith. 5. HEAD: The helmet of salvation. We keep our mind on the Word. 6. ARM: The sword of the Spirit; the Word of God. Again, we use the sword; we speak the Word of God. 7. STANDING: The understood stance of this all is in prayer. So this is what how we should be dressed—like a soldier, because we ARE soldiers! Listen, anyone who is a Christian is in a battle, right? The battle is between darkness and light. That’s why we are exhorted by Paul to put on the armor of light. It isn’t darkness but light. We put on the light, which is Jesus. We should be covered from head to toe; if we drop one piece, it affects the whole suit! For example, if you dropped your helmet, you probably won’t go far. If you drop your shield or sword, you can be sure the rest of you will be affected! We don’t act like the world; we put on our armor. We are not afraid. In fact, we put the devil to flight. We submit to God and the enemy flees from us in terror. The truth is he is already under our feet. So in the face of adversity, we respond like Jesus would. We are victorious in every situation. I think taking our shield of faith is vitally important. Without faith, we cannot please God. I remember when we lived in Africa, and my oldest son was about 2 months old. He was sick. He had spots all over his body. We didn’t have a doctor there, and we were learning how to trust the Lord. We just prayed and believed God. And in three days he was totally healed! We had many testimonies of healing, and provision. Over and over we witnessed the power of God in our daily lives. We had to use our faith—it was not optional. WHY DON’T WE SEE THE POWER OF GOD TODAY? Personally, I think there is little reason for some to use their faith. Oh, they have faith, it’s just that our lives are easier here. We don't need to use our faith. We have doctors and we can take medicine. We have essential oils, and we have supplements! Some of us have health insurance! We can even borrow money. We really don’t have a need to be "desperate" in using our faith. When I lived in Africa, I was desperate! I was desperate for the healing power of God, for the provision of God. We had to trust God for everything. But here it is not as necessary. So what do we do? Well, we can stir up our own faith. We can make ourselves desperate for more of God. We can practice using our faith. We can stir up our hunger. The book of Acts records a group of people who were hungry for whatever God had for them. They met and fasted and prayed together—often. They stirred up their faith. I’m sure they had on their armor, their belt was on tight, and they had a sharpened sword, because they used the Word often. Their shoes were probably worn out, for so many folks were coming to the Lord on a daily basis. They kept their helmet on tight too; they constantly reminded each other of the Words of Jesus. And they saw not only salvations but also the miracle working power of God in demonstration! GOD ALWAYS HAS A REMNANT I believe there is a remnant that is busy polishing their swords. They are busy fixing their belt, and putting straps on their sandals. They have picked up their shield of faith. They are securing their helmets and breastplates, and guarding their hearts. They are making themselves ready. They want to look and act just like Jesus in this season; not just walk in the fruit of the Spirit but also demonstrate the power of God to a lost and dying world. No one will mistake them in their identity, for they love and act just like the one they have consecrated their lives to. They will be the "real" Christians. Reader, are you one of them? WHAT’S IN STORE IN 2020?
It’s not only a new year, but also a new decade. What is in store for us, the body of Christ? Let’s look at the number 20. Redemption, spiritual leadership, maturity, equipped for service. I would like to focus on the idea of redemption. I believe this is going to be a year where God restores to us all that the enemy has stolen. Jesus was purchased for 20 pieces of silver. I believe God is going to redeem things that have been taken from us; our inheritance in 2020. There is also a double in 2020; so twenty twice. It will be a year of double. The Scripture that came to my mind is this: Isaiah 61:7 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. Restoration is included in the idea of redemption: Joel 2:25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. So, the body of Christ is going to get back what belongs to us; the destinies that have been stolen, the relationships, the family prodigals, even health that has been stolen and finances that have been stolen. How will this happen? I believe we are going to rise up in this hour, and be the light. We will take our position in Christ. When in the past there has been a great move of God, there has also been a great attack from the enemy. I don’t know what this will look like, but I think we need to position ourselves. We need to take our place, seated in heavenly places, and declare and decree from our position of leadership. I believe we will begin to see those prophetic words given years ago come to pass. It will be a season of heaven invading earth with many signs and wonders. It will be a time of the manifest presence of God. It will be a time of greater worship and greater prayer. I also believe the word of the prophet, Kenneth Copeland: "What about 2020? Many things will be said about vision in 2020 because of the natural nature of 20/20 eyesight. But you and I, and those who seek the face of God and know the voice of God, we will have vision, insight, ideas and concepts. And it will be a time of the fulfilling of the word that was spoken in My WORD that said, “The young men and the old men shall have visions and dreams.” Acts 2:17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. Since we are a ministry of dreams, visions and prophecy, I want to say that I believe there will be a great increase in all of this. We have received many dreams, visions and prophetic words, but now comes the increase. Why? Because in 2020 there will also be a great harvest of souls that will begin. God is about to increase us, restore to us, so we can bring in souls and finance His Kingdom. I believe God has also waited for this time, to see the fields of harvest come in. It’s definitely a time for all hands on deck. This will be a multi-generational move of God- with the children, grand-children, moms and dads, grandfathers and grandmothers all working together to bring in this harvest. John 4:35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! The dreams and visions He gives us will be directional- to help us win souls. There will also be an increase in the prophetic and people finally coming into their calling and destinies. And, God will send His angels to help us; we will not be alone! Are you ready for the increase coming? Have you taken your position in Christ? If not, jump in! Get ready for an amazing journey with God this year! Merry Christmas!
We are all so familiar with the Christmas story; it’s one we love to read over and over this time of year. We know of the amazing journey that Mary and Joseph made to Bethlehem to have the baby Jesus. And this was one special event like no other in history. So it’s one where we see the participation of heaven; specifically the presence of angels. Angels are heavenly beings. They are seen all through the Scriptures; I found 280 references for angel in the Bible. And in this story, let’s see the angelic activity recorded in the Scriptures concerning the Christmas story. Most of these are found in Matthew and Luke. Here we see the function of an angel is to bring a message; they are heavenly messengers. 1. First, the angel Gabriel came to visit Zacharias. Luke 1:11-20 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” 18 And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.” 19 And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. 20 But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.” We know this angel’s name was Gabriel, and he came to prophesy to Zacharias that he would have a son, and name him John. Angels can bring prophetic messages from God. 2. The next time we see angelic presence in this story is with Mary. Again the angel Gabriel came to visit Mary. Luke 1:26-38 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.” 38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. What can we see from these two encounters so far? 1. Well, first we see that when God wants to bring special messages, he can use an angel. Jesus and his cousin John the Baptist came to change the world. Things would be different now. God was saying get ready for a new thing. No longer would He dwell in temples made of stone but in the temples of our hearts. Like John, we too are called to prepare the way for the Lord; that is, we are to lead people to Jesus. 2. Both times, the angel says, “ Do not be afraid”. Do you think that if we had an angel come to visit you, you might be afraid? Of course it would be frightening. 3. After the angel calms them down, he gives them the message from God. Now he also prophesies to both Zacharias and Mary; he not only tells them that there will be a child born, but he also tells them what they will do in their life, or why they will come into the world. (I put those prophecies in bold). I believe that each one of us is born with an assignment from God, a special purpose. Yours might be to feed the poor, or to teach the Bible. Maybe you are called to evangelize, or to be a light in your workplace. Many christians have received prophetic words over the years concerning the assignment for their lives. Many of these words are yet to come to pass, like the prophecy over Jesus: He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. It is interesting that God spoke the beginning and the end. He said that Jesus would be born, and then went on to describe His life, to the very end of the age. God knows how to speak a word that will last a long time. What are the words spoken over your life? Are you contending for your prophetic future? 4. When someone receives a word from God, how should they respond? Well, we have two different responses from Zacharias and Mary. Zacharias had a hard time believing what the angel said. He questioned the word. “How is this going to happen? I am an old man!” So, he didn’t believe; and he became mute; the Lord shut his mouth so he couldn’t speak negative words. However, Mary received the words gladly in her heart. She also asked how, but her heart was open to believe. She simply responded, “ Let is happen to me, as you have said.” How have you received the words prophesied over you? Are you in faith, or having a hard time believing? Perhaps it is time to brush the dust off of those words and believe again. 5. Lastly, the message from the angel was: For with God nothing will be impossible. This is an important word for all of us. For a woman to have a baby without the intervention of a man—well, this is impossible. God explained to her how it would happen. Then, for a woman like Elizabeth who was well advanced in years, this too would be impossible, in the natural. But not with God! It reminds me of another birth—the birth of Issac. Genesis 17:17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” Again, it came to pass just as the Lord said, for with God, nothing is impossible. What impossibilities are you facing? Do you believe that with God nothing is impossible? I believe. I also had a child in my older age—when the doctors said it was impossible. 3. Next, we go to the book of Matthew for the next encounter. Here Joseph also has an encounter with an angel, but in a dream. This was different from the first two encounters where the angel came to Mary and Zacharias not in a dream but in a visitation. Again the angel prophesies to Joseph; he reassures Joseph that Mary did have an encounter, and that she is pregnant by the Holy Spirit. But he also tells Joseph what the purpose is for this baby, and how it lined up with the prophecies in the Scriptures. Matthew 1:20-25 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying; 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” 24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus. 4. Joseph has another encounter—again in a dream. Only this time, it was to warn Joseph, and to protect the baby. Matthew 2:13-15 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15 and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” 5. The angel spoke to Joseph a third time in a dream. This time it was to give him direction and tell him to go back to Israel. Matthew 2:19-21 Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.” 21 Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel. The encounters that Joseph had with the angel came in a dream. All three times, the angel came to speak to him; first, to reassure him, second, to give protection and thirdly to give direction. Why did God send an angel in a dream and not in a visitation? I think it is because God knew what way to reach Joseph’s heart. When He came in a dream, Joseph couldn’t argue with God. Many times we have angels in our dreams. They are usually those faceless people we see helping us in our dreams. Dreams are easier because we can’t argue with God. Plus, Mary was given a bigger assignment; it was to give birth to Jesus, so her encounter was a higher revelation. 6. The last encounter of an angel in this story is with the shepherds. Again, the angel brings a word from God. He tells them about Jesus being born and where to find Him. Luke 2:8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” So we see from this encounter that the shepherds must have known about Jesus’s first coming. Now the angel comes to them and tells them what is happening. 1. First, again the angel says not to be afraid. It must have been a pretty big angel for all the shepherds to see him. 2. He tells of Jesus’s birth, and tells them where to find Him. But we see something even more majestic here. After the one angel speaks, we see “a multitude of the heavenly host”. Wow, that’s a lot of angels! How many is a multitude? It’s a great number. Probably too many to count. Wow. This group of angels came to earth, praising God. It must have been a marvelous sight! The angels gave glory to God, and declared peace and goodwill on earth. Wow again; this is the good news— God’s not mad at us! He proclaims peace and goodwill over us. Jesus is the prince of peace; and He brings peace in our lives. God’s desire for us is good; He has only good things in store for us. Have you received that peace in your heart? Have you received the grace and goodness of God? These were amazing days; this is an amazing story of the birth of our savior. But we need to realize that those same angels are still around today. They are still bringing messages to us— sometimes in visions, sometimes in dreams. Let us receive these messages and believe the words that God has brought us. For we each have an assignment and purpose on earth. Merry Christmas! For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 |
